After years of development, MakersDen proudly presents the Bait Beater. This device is a specialized feeding tool designed to help you catch significantly more fish.

The mechanism of the Bait Beater is unique, combining several different fishing groundbait techniques. It allows you to fish like a professional and guarantees a much higher catch rate.

The core of the system is a float that can be deployed just like a marker buoy. This means a line weighted with an anchor drops from the Bait Beater to the bottom, running back to the bank where you are fishing.

The upper section of the Bait Beater is filled with live bait, such as maggots. Naturally, maggots try to escape to a dark, cool place to pupate. Additionally, when stored for a while, maggots get thirsty and instinctively seek out water. They can escape through a small hole in the container, crawling out one by one. A small gutter guides them into the water.

This is a slow process, taking about an hour on average to empty the container. The release rate is partly determined by the outside temperature, as maggots are less active in colder weather.

In addition to the maggots, the lower section of the Bait Beater is filled with groundbait, which can include many different varieties. Groundbait with larger particles is preferred. This bait is also released gradually, preventing it from forming a large clump on the bottom as it normally would. As a result, the fish do not get the chance to gorge themselves. Instead, they have to hunt for the groundbait sinking down from the bottom of the Bait Beater. This combination of maggots and groundbait falling down in small quantities keeps the fish hungry and gives them time to get used to the bait.
In this scenario, a classic rule applies: activity breeds activity, triggering a feeding frenzy.

No more finicky biting; instead, you get direct strikes on the maggot on your hook. An added benefit is that most fish are hooked right in the front of the mouth, making them easy to unhook.

Initially, smaller fish will arrive first simply because they are more abundant. Over time, larger fish are also drawn in by the commotion. Shortly after, predatory fish will be attracted by the behavior of the schooling fish.

Who is this product for?
The Bait Beater is suitable for any recreational angler, as well as for fishermen who depend on their catch for food.

My hope is that artisanal or commercial fishermen will stop using nets and/or longlines by adopting the Bait Beater. After all, you can catch much more fish faster with a simple hook, and by changing your bait, you can target specific fish species more accurately.

This prevents the accidental bycatch of other animals and non-consumable fish.
